The Chequamegon MTB Festival, held in the Northwoods of Wisconsin between Hayward and Cable, is America’s largest point-to-point mountain bike race. The 2026 event marks the 40th edition of the festival, with the signature Chequamegon 40 traveling over the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail along forest roads and singletrack, plus a 16-mile Short & Fat companion race and a Little Loggers race for young riders. As Round 4 of the Life Time Grand Prix, it combines elite competition with a grassroots festival atmosphere of live music, craft beer, and food trucks.
